Dr. Rydland is an American Board Certified Pediatrician and has been practicing holistically since 1981. His practice integrates traditional and holistic natural medicine. Unlike conventional pediatric practices that see upwards of 50 patients per day we schedule a maximum of twelve appointments daily. This means Dr. Rydland’s shortest visit is a 30 minute well checkup where you are with the doctor the entire 30 minutes. During this visit he will completely evaluate a child’s medical history and their mother’s health prior to and through the pregnancy, perform a complete physical examination and make holistic, natural recommendations to optimize health. Dr. Rydland believes this is necessary to adequately evaluate, diagnose and achieve optimal health for your child.
Our consultation appointments are for children with medical issues and usually range from 45 to 60 minutes. During these consultations Dr. Rydland determines the root cause(s) of these health issues by reviewing all available medical records and laboratory reports, performing an in depth medical history, including the mother’s health, pregnancy, labor and delivery and then conducting a complete physical exam. He then discusses the available treatments and testing options before formulating a personalized treatment protocol specifically designed for your child.
He specializes in conditions such as allergies, asthma, eczema, stomach and digestive issues, frequent infections, growing issues and more. He is also a MAPS doctor, specializing in conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADD and ADHD.
Dr. Rydland’s main office is in Charlottesville, Virginia and he also sees patients in South Florida once a month, every month, for five days at five locations.
